Earlier today, ABC Family promised a major announcement concerning Pretty Little Liars would be made at 4 p.m. EST.

And it did not disappoint: The network has given the green light to a SPINOFF titled "Ravenswood."

It will premiere this October on ABC Family and its main characters will be introduced via the annual PLL Halloween special, as Ravenswood will reportedly be a town near Rosewood that has been under a deadly curse for many years; a curse that suddenly connects five strangers.

Ravenswood will also be produced by the PLL team of I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Joseph Dougherty and Leslie Morgenstein.

Now, Pretty Little Liars and Ravenswood? The TV gods are smiling on us Fanatics these days, huh?
