When we last saw Nick Brody, he was saying farewell to Carrie and setting off for Canada on the shocking Homeland Season 2 finale.

And when we see him next? Well... Brody better hope no one sees him next, considering the label that will be hanging over his head when this Showtime hit returns on September 29.

The network has released the official synopsis for Season 3, making it clear just who the country blames for the attack last year on CIA headquarters. Read on for the description of what's to come:

The season opens “during the aftermath of the horrific terror attack that decimated the U.S. intelligence apparatus, and prompted a global manhunt for the world’s most wanted terrorist - Nick Brody.

“As Carrie and Saul begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered professional and personal lives, they are swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and the subsequent search for Brody’s whereabouts.”

Homeland Season 3 premieres on Sunday, September 29.
