It's been a busy and exciting afternoon for The CW.

Following its announcement of four new dramas for the 2013-2014 season, the network has just announced that both Nikita and The Carrie Diaries will also return for new seasons.

While an exact number of episodes has not yet been revealed, Nikita producer Craig Silverstein has Tweeted his show will NOT be back for a "full" season. Look for it to close out its run with between 6 and 10 episodes.

Nikita and The Carrie Diaries join The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Hart of Dixie, Arrow and Beauty and the Beast as returning CW shows in either the fall or spring.
