Following a series of Tweets, songs, Instagram photos and more in his honor, Glee cast members said goodbye to Cory Monteith today in a private ceremony.

Return of Finn

Details are scarce, but Fox has released the following statement:

"Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of Glee, along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith. We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time.”

Due to the 31's tragic passing on July 13, production on series was delayed and the Glee Season 5 premiere was pushed back a week. It will now air on Thursday, September 26.

Murphy, meanwhile, has said the show will kill Finn off and the third episode of the season will be a tribute to both the actor and the character.

Glee Quotes

I'm a closet lesbian and a judgmental bitch, which means one thing. I have awesome gaydar.

So, I figure that this is as good a place as any to ask you this question, mainly because it's going to really upset all the single guys and gals in here, but I want to mash up with you forever, Britt. I mean, some people love someone because they make them a better person and that's not why I love you because you've always just wanted me to be myself. You're my favorite person in the whole world and we're a big deal, you know? Like no matter how many times we've tried to put our thing down and walk away from it we can't because I don't want to live my life without my one true love. I normally I use a lot of words when I'm saying something negative so since this is the most positive thing I'm ever going to do, I'm gonna keep it simple. Brittany S. Pierce, will you marry me?
