Jere Burns has received a promotion.

The actor, who has portrayed the hilariously weasley Wynn Duffy since the opening season of the tremendous FX drama, will play a significant role on the series when it returns with new episodes in early 2014.

When we last saw the character on the Justified Season 4 finale, he and Boyd Crowder had reached an agreement for the latter to take on far more drug-dealing responsibilities around Harlan.

Burns has also enjoyed recent runs on Burn Notice and Bates Motel.

Justified Season 5 will likely return some time in January. According to TV Line, the main storyline will focus on an eccentric crime family.
