Refreshing developments abounded on Chicago Fire Season 2 Episode 12, involving those from Chief Boden to Mills to Shay.

However, we need to start with Casey and Hermann. The former is clearly not doing well. He keeps saying he's fine, the doctor has supposedly given him a full green light… but come on.

It's clear something remains wrong with Casey and it's clear he needs to tell Dawson about it. She would force Casey to search for answers, don't you think? She wouldn't sit back and just take his word for how things are.

Elsewhere, Shay is truly a kind soul. She's somehow able to look past Rafferty’s homophobia and see the person underneath.
