Viewers witnessed a pair of intriguing stories on Criminal Minds Season 9 Episode 13, the first of which centered around Rossi's old army pal and his family. It included a welcome return by Meshach Taylor as Harrison Scott and also the directorial efforts of Joe Mantegna.

The second arc, meanwhile, provided BAU with its Case of the Week and focused on a broken man who's wife and son were killed in a home invasion many years back.
