Candice Patton Cast as Series Regular on The Flash

Candice Patton is headed to Central City.
The actress (The Game, Rizzoli & Isles, Entourage) has been cast on the upcoming Flash spinoff as a graduate student named Iris.
She will be the daughter of Jesse L. Martin's CCPD Detective and a good friend of Grant Gustin's Barry Allen… who may become more than just a friend if the series follows the path of the comic books.
Gustin, of course, has always guest-starred on a pair of Arrow Season 2 episodes.
The CW will view a standalone pilot of The Flash this spring before deciding whether or not to order the drama to series. If it's a go, Patton will be a series regular.
