Gotham Casts The Penguin, Alfred and Others!

A slew of new faces are heading to Gotham.

In very familiar roles.

Not long after Ben McKenzie was cast as James Gordon on this upcoming Fox drama, the network has announced four new actors/actresses and their affiliated characters:

ROBIN LORD TAYLOR (Accepted, The Walking Dead) will portray Oswald Cobblepot, better known as The Penguin. He's described as a "low-level psychopath" who is working with a gangster when we first meet him and who hides a third for power behind a kind demeanor.

SEAN PERTWEE (Camelot) will play Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's eventual butler who is an ex-marine who is very protective of Thomas and Martha's young son.

ZABRYNA GUEVARA (Burn Notice) is on board as Captain Essen, Gordon's boss t the GCPD Homicide Squad.

ERIN RICHARDS (Breaking In) will play Gordon's fiancee, Barbara Kean. She's an ER physician who stands by her husband through thick and thin.

The Gotham pilot was written by Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) and was ordered straight to series in September. It will tale the early stories of Gordon and these well-known future villains.
