Jay Leno Bids The Tonight Show a "Heartfelt Goodnight"

Jay Leno said goodbye to The Tonight Show last night.

For the second time... but this one will almost definitely stick.

Following a monologue that referenced OJ Simpson and Justin Bieber, Billy Crystal led a slew of huge names (Jim Parsons, Oprah, Jack Black) in a musical tribute to the long-time host.

Then, after chatting with Crystal as his final guest, Leno sat behind his desk and thanked the fans; acknowledged his good fortune; and broke down when talking about his staff.

“The first year of this show I lost my mom; the second year I lost my dad," he said. "Then my brother died and after that I was pretty much out of family. The folks here became my family."
