Katie Holmes to Be Part of Dangerous Liaisons on ABC

Katie Holmes is headed back to television.

In her first starring role since Dawson's Creek, the actress has signed on for an unnamed drama that sounds a lot like Dangerous Liaisons:

It will feature Holmes as an innocent, well-educated, wealthy woman named Ann… who gets drawn into an evil game when another couple (the male half of which will be played by Rufus Sewell) sets out to destroy her ideal marriage.

But look for Holmes' character to quickly adapt and match wits with those looking to take her down.

The high society-based drama pilot will b written by Richard LaGravenese (Behind the Candelabra).
