What was your favorite scene or quote?

Christine:  I loved the fight between Olivia and Fitz with Jake and Secret Service listening to every word outside the door. Fitz always thinks everything is about him. Olivia needed to make him see that her job is important too and that she can't do it when he's made her life a spectacle or in her words, his public whore.

Jim: I loved David and Abbey saying "I love you," especially when he called her from the trunk of Huck's car. They are so cute, and he has been so good for her!

Emily: I loved both scenes Jim & Christine mentioned, but I also loved the scene with Liv & Quinn in the car! Holy moly! Favorite quote was Jake's little outburst in Liv's apartment! HILARIOUS! "Stock your damn fridge. If I'm going to be your fake boyfriend all day, then I'm going to come home at the end of it and drink real beer and eat real food. Wine is not beer and popcorn is most definitely not food. It's been a long day and I'd like to wash it off before we have pretend sex."

Miranda: I loved everything about Jake's speech to Olivia. He has a way of speaking directly to her without cutting her down in the way that Fitz does. Contrasting the beginning scene between Fitz and Olivia with that one illustrates my point.

Leigh: This is really random, but I friggin loved when Tom revealed he was the inside B6-13 guy at the White House. I fist pumped in my living room like "I knew it!!!"

What do you think about Olivia's decision to choose Jake as her beard?

Christine: I love it. More and more, Fitz's arrogance annoys me. I know Fitz and Olivia love one another but I think Jake treats her with more respect.

Jim: Well, it makes for the strangest love triangle I've ever seen. Will be interesting to see where it goes.

Emily: As our late Supreme Court Justice, Verna Thorton would say you're "poking the bear"!!! Olivia had to know that was going to make some waves. I mean, if you had to pick a beard, who wouldn't choose Jake? Obviously she has feelings for him and it's a way more comfortable situation than a random stranger, but come on...POKING THE BEAR!

Miranda: I think choosing him shows she does have feelings for him, and for that reason alone, I'm totally on board with her decision.

Leigh: I forgot Verna said that! Good throwback mention. Olivia knows she's poking the bear but I think she did it for 3 reasons. 1- She trusts Jake, he knows everything, no need for covers. 2- She knows it will keep Fitz on his toes. 3. She still has some residual feelings for him.

Does Quinn belong in B6-13 or back at OPA?

Christine: Quinn belongs in therapy. The girl needs help. Huck is right. He's a monster who has created a monster.

Jim: If her and Huck can figure out how to mend fences, she would be a better fit at OPA. However, given the odds of that, I'm guessing she's better off trying to get Jake to bring her into B6-13.

Emily: I think she belongs back at OPA, but I agree with Jim in that there would have to be a serious "come to Jesus" between her and Huck. If they can't get back on the same page, the lack of trust and sense of family at OPA won't bode well for the team as a whole. At least with Jake as Command, she'll be looked after more if B6-13 is the route she takes.

Miranda: OPA, for sure. Her new appointment to receptionist at B6-13 is going to cause issues between Olivia and Jake since Jake said he didn't "have" Quinn.

Leigh: Eh, weirdly I think she belongs at B6-13. I don't think she and Huck are salvageable. That whole "he licked my face" moment in the car with her and Liv really show how far Quinn pushed herself from wanting anything to do with OPA. Also I think she would serve well with Jake as a leader.

Mellie has always been anti-cheating. What do we think about her relationship with Andrew?

Christine: Mellie continues to be my favorite character. As nuts as she can be, she really does love Fitz. She's done so much for him and he continually reminds her that she's his second choice. I like Andrew and Mellie. I find myself wishing that they could somehow run off and be happy together.

Jim: Oh, look she's human after all.

Emily: I think Mellie is reaching her breaking point for just being a woman who wants to be desired and loved. She's clearly not going to get that from Fitz and with Andrew in the mix now I think it will be hard to turn her back on what she's so desperate for.

Miranda: I'm torn. On the one hand, Fitz is cheating so why shouldn't Mellie? On the other hand, I want her to remain faithful to her vows and divorce Fitz JUST AS Olivia marries someone else because she's finally realized that her relationship with Fitz is doomed. Something very...star-crossed, you know?

Leigh: I found it interesting that Mellie divulged everything to Andrew back in the day. She could've easily lied but she felt enough of a connection to tell him the truth and trust he'd cover for her and protect her secret. I'm not saying it's right to be unfaithful but hey, Mellie deserves someone to love her the way Fitz loves Olivia and maybe this is it.

First one to have a meltdown: Sally or James?

Christine: Sally. James is scared out of his mind but Sally is simply insane. There's no telling what might set her off. Remember, she's not responsible for killing her husband, the devil made her do it. And she really believes that. Yikes!

Jim: Sally has already been on the express train to crazy town, so I'm pretty sure she will get there first!

Emily: Totally in agreement with Jim! The only ace in the whole with Sally is Puppetmaster Leo. James is pretty much working alone.

Miranda: Sally. By a landslide.

Leigh: James is going to lose it first, but Sally is going to lose it worse. James is gonna have a crying meltdown, but Sally is headed for a full fledge, put me in a straightjacket psychotic break.

What does Mama Pope want (now that we know she's working with Adnan Salif)?

Christine: I have no idea. It's terrifying that she makes Olivia's father look like the good guy. Poor Liv. I don't know how she'll juggle both of her psychotic parents at once.

Jim: To rule the world? Her daughter back? A really nice cappuccino? Any or all of those could be possible. We won't know till she wants us to know.

Emily: Cue backstory explosion on this one! I'm more curious to know how Mama Pope's connection to Harrison's past is going to play out!!

Miranda: Clearly she's setting Fitz up by funding his re-election campaign with terrorist money, but why? Who's she trying to get at by doing this? Olivia? Rowan? It's all very interesting.

Leigh: Yeah we still never got much back story on this. At this point I think she wants to go against what Rowan wants. Rowan is trying to tank Fitz's campaign so Mama Pope wants him to win. Plus her money will probably leverage her a good deal of power.

Scandal Season 3 Episode 12 Quotes

I didn't do this for you. I did not do this for you. I did this for me, so I could work on the campaign. So I could walk down the street and not be whispered about. So I could stop being known as the woman who screwed the President, so the scarlet "A" on my chest could be invisible! So I could stop being a joke. I am a person. I am not a hen! I am not a prize!

Olivia

[to Fitz] One, I am not a hen. Two, I am not a prize at the state fair. You cannot win me!
