A new man is about to vie for Emily Thorne's heart.

Michael Ausiello of TV Line confirms that producers will be casting a fresh love interest for their main heroine on Revenge Season 4, as this unnamed individual will be a childhood friend of Jack's.

Look for the character to be a veteran with a touch of from, who decided to remain in The Hamptons long-term after something significant happens to Jack.

He'll get to know many of the local residents well... especially a certain red Sharpie-loving protagonist.

In other Season 4 casting news, James Tupper (who made his stunning return on the Revenge Season 3 finale) has been promoted to series regular.

Revenge is expected to return with new episodes in September.
