As Jane continued to hide her pregnancy from family and friends in Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 1, she had to investigate the disappearance of a baby after it's mother is murdered.

The investigation leads to the father and his crazy girlfriend who not only killed the mom but stashed the child in a church where a homeless woman took the child to care for it.

When Angela has her suspicions, she corners Maura who confesses that Jane is pregnant but swears Angela to secrecy.

Later, the detectives are called to the scene when Detective Barry Frost is killed in a motor vehicle accident on the way home from visiting his mother.
