Days of Our Lives Recap: The Cupcake Baking Whore

Sami's wrath continued on this week's Days of Our Lives as she swore vengeance against Abigail and EJ but as most of Salem seems to agree that EJ deserves what he gets, many were trying to protect poor, innocent Abby. Even Sami's own son.
By far the best scene of the week was Caroline's discussion with her granddaughter as she urged Sami to finally acknowledge her pain and admit she still loved EJ. She even shared her past affair with Victor, for which husband Shawn later forgave.
Then there was little Allie and her special wedding day photo album. The little girl obviously loves EJ very much. It all led to Sami letting go of a little bit of that rage and being willing to actually talk to EJ…until Johnny came running in. You could actually see all of the hope EJ held crumble to dust as his son gushed about how much he missed Abby and her cupcakes.
Whatever chance EJ had at reconciliation evaporated in that moment as it brought Sami's anger back in full force as seen in this Days of Our Lives quote…
I cannot tell you the pleasure it will bring me to destroy you, your father, and your dear, sweet, little, cupcake baking whore.

But what exactly does Sami plan to do with Abigail? At this point I have no idea but I hope it's good. I'm sick and tired of watching everyone in Salem run to little Abby's defense, even Sami's own son Will…
.No offense but you and EJ implode every six months with no help from anybody. The only difference is that this time Abigail is involved.

I can understand Will trying to get Sami to give up her plot for revenge but to act as though Abigail is the innocent victim in this is ludicrous. He even brought up Sami cheating on Rafe with EJ but let's put that in perspective. Sami and EJ were just told that their daughter was dead. (Thankfully it wasn't true.) They were both half out of their minds when they fell into grief sex on the sofa. I don't think that's anywhere near what Abigail did with EJ.
I know Sami wasn't exactly kind when it came to her description of Abby but who can blame her? Will on the other hand called his mother a slut and basically said she deserved what she got. I'm not condoning violence but that boy deserved that slap.
Elsewhere in Salem, Jennifer completely flew off the handle when she spied Eve talking to Daniel at the pub. She was furious to find him have coffee with her ex-nemesis. It reminded me a lot of Abigail losing control with Eve in the town square last week.
I was happy to hear Daniel stick up for himself when he told Jenn…
You don't give me any of the facts and now you think I'm an idiot for not magically knowing what the hell is going on with you.

Daniel taking a sabbatical from women…and from Salem is probably a good thing.
Meanwhile, Jordan still hasn't shared any of her past with Rafe but Kate admitted that she's out to destroy Stefano for sending Bernardi to attack him in the hospital. I just wish the entire Jordan/Clyde storyline could disappear back to what ever Ozarks back woods it came from. It's one of the slowest, most boring plots on the show.
At the hospital there was an actual Kayla sighting! With Daniel headed out of town and Kayla taking over John's case perhaps we won't have to wait another six weeks to see her again.
Theresa attempted to get Brady an attorney but in true Brady fashion he turned it down. If there's ever a smart choice to make you can count on Brady to choose the opposite.
Victor was hot on Theresa's trail. He may have been in Europe but it took him all of five minutes to figure out 80% of Theresa's scheme. Brady's in the room with the girl and he's still completely clueless. At least Theresa was smart enough to be scared of Victor as she began searching for ways out of town. Fast.
It appeared much of Salem was headed out of town. Daniel to St. Louis. Hope and Ciara to New Orleans, possibly with Aidan and Chase in tow and Eric and Nicole to the Vatican. Seriously, the Vatican?
