On The Strain Season 1 Episode 1, a flight from Berlin lands at JFK Airport and goes dark. A CDC Team lead by Eph Goodweather soon discovers that all but four passengers are dead.

As Eph begins to investigate this mysterious outbreak, he learns The Strain is exhibiting traits related to vampirism.

Meanwhile, Abraham Setrakian warns Eph and Nora that all the passengers must be destroyed. The Master is here and things are not going to end well.

Wealthy businessman Eldritch Palmer has made a deal with the devil. He is responsible for bringing The Master to Manhattan. The old man is dying you see and this is his last shot at eternal life.
