Doctor Who Premiere Sets BBC America Ratings Record
Matt Richenthal at .Peter Capaldi was welcomed into the Doctor Who family with open arms on Saturday night.
By a record number of BBC America viewers.
According to a network press release, Doctor Who Season 8 Episode 1 was the highest-rated premiere in BBC America history, as 2.58 million total viewers tuned in across all platforms.
From 8:00-10:00pm, Doctor Who ranked as the number-one program in all of cable among total viewers and adults 25-54.
It was also the most Tweeted show on any network Saturday.
