NBC to Air Vintage Saturday Night Live Episodes in Honor of 40th Anniversary

Live from New York, it's gonna be Saturday Night... even more than usual this fall.
NBC has announced that it will air classic editions of its iconic sketch show in honor of its 40th anniversary season, starting this Saturday night, September 27.
SNL Vintage will kick off at 10 p.m. with the Richard Pryor-hosted episode that features Gil Scott-Heron as musical guest.
On October 4, NBC will then jump way ahead, airing the 2000 episode from the 25th season featuring host Christopher Walken and musical guest Christina Aguilera.
Oh, yes, this is the installment that featured more cowbell than we ever knew we needed or wanted.
A 40th anniversary special is set for February 15, 2015.
