There is absolutely no time wasted showing you how bad things can get when you are being stalked.
According to the official CBS synopsis for Stalker, a new Kevin Williamson-produced drama that premieres next month, "LAPD’s Threat Assessment Unit’s Lt. Beth Davis and Det. Jack Larsen search for a stalker with an affinity for fire.
"Also, Beth meets with an exasperated college student who claims his former roommate is aggressively harassing him" on Stalker Season 1 Episode 1.
Both investigators have a special interest in their field. Beth comes to the job with experience nobody wants to have -- that from the perspective of a victim. Jack has his own experience, and it seems likely his past transgressions that got him into trouble on the job in the past will give him unique insight into the minds of the madmen they're seeking.
We're treated to a guest appearance from Daren Kagasoff as the college student claiming harassment from a former roommate, and he's at his best. It will wipe away any memories you have of him from Secret Life of the American Teenager.
The other case will make you wish you had bars on your windows and reinforced doors, but you'll also realize how pointless even the best security can be when someone wants to get you.
Prepare to scream when Stalker premieres on CBS on Wednesday, October 1 at 10/9c.
