TV Ratings Report: How Did Marry Me Fare?

Viewers said yes to Marry Me Season 1 Episode 1 on NBC last night.

The well-reviewed new comedy opened to 7.8 million readers and a 2.3 rating among 18-49-year olds, solid numbers that led into 6.2  million overall viewers for the About a Boy Season 2 premiere. 

Elsewhere on NBC, The Voice (11.9 million/3.3) dropped fem last Monday evening, while Chicago Fire (7.2 million/2.0) fell 14 percent and a tenth, respectively.

Across the dial:

  • As expected, The Flash Season 1 Episode 2 decreased some from its enormous premiere, but it still brought in 4.1 million viewers and a solid 1.6 rating. Supernatural (2.2 million/1.0) was down 12 percent and one tenth.
  • On Fox, New Girl (2.3 million/1.2) fell even farther, down 12 and 14 percent; while Mindy Project (2.2 million/1.0) held steady.
  • On CBS, NCIS Season 12 Episode 4 (17.1 million/2.5) held mostly firm, while NCIS: New Orleans (15.9 million/2.2) and Person of Interest (9.7 million/1.5) dropped a tad in the demographic.
  • On ABC,  Selfie (3.5 million/1.0) continued to fall, though Manhattan Love Story (3 million/0.9) was steady. Agents of SHIELD (4.6 million/1.6) lost a bit of its demographic audience, while Forever (4.7 million/1.1) was down 13 and 15 percent.
