TV Ratings Rundown: NBC-Ya to Bad Judge and A to Z?

Will the axe soon fall on Bad Judge and A to Z?

Both NBC sitcoms plummeted to new ratings depths last night, with the former dropping to a 0.9 among 18-49-year olds and the latter all the way down to a 0.7.

A week ago, ABC axed Manhattan Love Story late on a Friday. Might NBC follow suit today with these disappointing new programs?

Elsewhere around the dial…

  • The Big Bang Theory returned to its regular timeslot and attracted 16.2 million viewers in the process, while the season premieres of Mom and Elementary opened down from last year’s numbers.
  • The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 5 pulled in 1.56 million viewers and a 0.7 demographic rating, while Reign Season 2 Episode 5 wasn’t far behind: 1.31 million viewers and a 0.5 demographic rating.
  • Bones (5.53 million viewers and a 1.3 rating) topped The Biggest Loser (4.39 million/1.1) in the 8 p.m hour.
  • Scandal Season 4 Episode 6 won the 9 p.m. hour with 9.1 million overall viewers and a strong 3.0 rating, while How to Get Away with Murder lost a few viewers but still helped ABC win the night among 18-49-year olds.
