It's official. Laurel Lance will be suiting up as Black Canary.

The CW has released two photos of Katie Cassidy in full Black Canary garb. She looks fantastic and ready for action. Her weapons of choice look to be a baton an brawn.

The photos are from Arrow Season 3 Episode 10, titled "Left Behind," which will air when the series resumes in January 2015.

Laurel has been training and took a giant leap forward in Arrow Season 3 Episode 6, as she found herself in the thick of it but without fear. That's all thanks to her ongoing training with Ted "Wildcat" Grant.

Laurel's version of the suit is all business. Gone is the cleavage that Sara exhibited as Canary. Will we be right if we speculate she's taking the name Black Canary in honor of her sister while still mourning all that she lost? Even the wig is a bit different, straighter than the one Sara wore. With black lipstick and kohled to seal the deal, it all works.
