TV Ratings Report: Parenthood Plummets, TVD Sinks Further

It was another strong Thursday showing for ABC, as Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 7 held steady in the ratings compared to last week, while Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder both saw jumps.

Olivia Pope’s attempt to take down Command drew in 9.9 million viewers and increased 10 percent among 18-49-year olds, while How To Get Away With Murder nearly matched that overall total while rising 4 percent in the same key demographic.

Elsewhere around the dial...

  • The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 7 matched its series low with a 0.7 rating among 18-49-year olds, a 13 drop from last week's installment; while Reign held firm.
  • The Biggest Loser remained even with last week, as did Bad Judge; also on NBC, A to Z dropped 25 percent among this demographic; while Parenthood fell a series low 1.0.
  • Bones brought in 5.5 million viewers and earned a 1.2, down 8 percent from last week's 1.3; and Gracepoint actually increased among viewers for the first time in awhile.
  • On CBS, The Big Bang Theory (17 million/4.5) shot up five percent in the ratings department; Mom was up 22 percent from last week's 2.3; Two and Half Men also increased by 5 percent; The McCarthys by 7 percentand Elementary matched last Thursday’s series low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.
