TV Ratings Report: The Originals Soars, Jane the Virgin Surges

The CW enjoyed a very strong Monday night this week.

First, The Originals Season 2 Episode 6 brought in 1.5 million total viewers and a 0.7 rating among 18-49-year olds, yielding gains of 36 and 40 percent, respectively, from the previous new outing.

Up next, Jane the Virgin Season 1 Episode 5, (1.2 million/0.5) enjoyed increases of 20 and 25 percent.

Elsewhere around the dial...

  • The Blacklist Season 2 concluded its fall run with 9.7 million viewers and a 2.7 demographic rating, both slight increases; while The Voice fell a bit with 11.4 million and a 3.2 rating.
  • Dancing With the Stars (13.4 million/2.1) mostly held steady, while the Castle wedding (9.7 million/1.7) grew by 10 percent in total viewers.
  • Gotham (6.3 million/2.2) dropped 5 and 7 percent, but Sleepy Hollow held steady.
  • On CBS, 2 Broke Girls (7.6 million/1.9) fell by 5 and 14 percent; The Millers (6.5 million/1.5) fell by a tenth; Scorpion (10 million/2.0) dipped 9 percent; and NCIS: Los Angeles (8.2 million/1.5) decreased by 11 percent in audience, but held strong in the key demographic.
