TV Ratings Report: What’s the State of Affairs?
Matt Richenthal at .Katherine Heigl was welcomed back to television with most open arms last night.
Despite mostly negative reviews, State of Affairs Season 1 Episode 1 opened with 9.8 million viewers and a 2.5 rating among 18-49-year olds, strong enough to rank as NBC’s second-best rated drama premiere of the past two years.
Elsewhere around the dial...
- Gotham Season 1 Episode 9 (6.4 million/2.3 demographic rating) inched up a tenth and Sleepy Hollow (4.6 million/1.5) remained steady with last Monday.
- Dancing With the Stars (14.6 million/2.4) and Castle (9.9 million/2.0) both improved slightly among young adults.
- 2 Broke Girls (7.9 million/2.1) inched up from last week's series low; Scorpion (10.1 million/2.0) held firm; and NCIS: Los Angeles (8.7 million/1.7) was up 7 percent and two tenths of a point.
- The Originals (1.4 million/0.7) and Jane the Virgin (1.1 million/0.4) were both relatively even with last week.
