Arrow: Original Beastmaster Mark Singer Nabs Recurring Role

at .

Let the speculation begin!

Mark Singer, known for his roles as the theatrical Beastmaster and in the various incarnations of V over the years has been tapped to play General Matthew Shrieve on Arrow Season 3.

The word is he'll be playing a prominent role in the Hong Kong flashbacks and his first appearance will be in Arrow Season 3 Episode 14.

In the comics, General Shrieve recently appeared in the New 52 as the leader of the Creature Commandos. They were, to put it lightly, very meta (like those in The Flash). It's unlikely they'll appear in Arrow, but in the comic series in question was a group called S.H.A.D.E. (Super Human Advanced Defense Executive) and they interacted with Ray Palmer and A.T.O.M.!

Apparently, Ray had a hand in creating S.H.A.D.E.'s technology. It's surely fascinating to think about, right? Could Ray have spent some time in Hong Kong? Has he crossed paths with Oliver before?

We'll find out soon enough. In the meantime, watch Arrow online to get caught up and start speculating about what's coming next!

Arrow Quotes

I thought you took that book off your father's dead body. How could he have been so chatty?

She was my sister. I couldn't be angry because she was dead. I couldn't grieve because I was so angry, that's what happens when your sister dies while screwing your boyfriend.
