Jason Butler Harner is headed to ABC.

The actor - who has appeared on such dramas as Alcatraz, The Blacklist and Homeland - will appear on multiple installments of Scandal Season 4.

Entertainment Weekly broke this piece of casting news, but details on Harner’s role are unknown at this time.

But it's always fun to guess, isn't it?!? And Olivia Pope was just kidnapped to close the first half of Season 4, wasn't she? It stands to reason that the new character will play some role in this storyline.

Scandal Season 4 returns with new episodes on Thursday, January 29 at 9/8c on ABC.
