Bradley Whitford to Portray Jake's Dad on Brooklyn Nine-Nine

So uttered Jake Peralta on a recent episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 2.
Now, however, we can confirm that fans of this Fox sitcom will actually get to meet the man responsible for bringing one of New York's Finest into the world.
And he'll be played by Bradley Whitford!
Fox announced today that the West Wing alum will come on board an upcoming installment as Captain Roger Peralta, a personable regional airline pilot who has made a life out of letting his son down.
He'll pay a visit to Brooklyn on May 8.
Whitford, an Emmy winner, most recently appeared on Transparent and Trophy Wife and will play a role on Showtime’s Happyish.
