The Vampire Diaries Round Table: Will Bonnie Be Back?

at .

On The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 13, we were treated to some 1990s references by Kai and we got to visit Bonnie in the prison world.

Too bad she wanted to kill herself, huh?

Join Paul Dailly, Crissy Calhoun, Heather Vee, and Leigh Raines to discuss the latest happening in Mystic Falls!

What was your favorite scene or quote from The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 13?

Paul: Favorite scene has got to be Damon drinking the bourbon. It meant so much to him and it showed us how much he and Bonnie's friendship blossomed in 1994.

Crissy: This is a toughie – there was a lot I loved in this episode. Um, um, Caroline and Stefan fighting in the forest. I hadn't really been feeling them this season, but that whole sequence sucked me right back in.

Heather: Kat Graham in general just absolutely murdered me in this episode. When Bonnie's drinking, alone, in tears. Holy cow.  And that moment she glimpses Jeremy in the light was pretty damned great.

Leigh: I'm gonna go with crazy Kai this week because he just cracks me up:

Well in case you haven't figured it out by now, I'm a sociopath. I know, shocker. I like being a sociopath, ya know? I'm not burned by things like guilt or love.

Kai

Do you think Kai's merge with Luke has made him more or less interesting?

Paul: More interesting. I like that he couldn't kill Liv. Could she actually ever forgive him? Possibly. Also, I like the way Elena and Damon needed him and he helped. Luke has clearly injected some humanity into him.

Crissy: Agreed - more interesting. He's still Kai, but now he has a weakness – his humanity! (Well, technically Luke's but...) What could be a more TVD twist than that?

Heather: I love Kai and I think Luke's compassion only makes him more interesting and, really, even funnier. TVD loves to humanize their villains, though it'll be interesting to see how far the show goes with that. The last time we had someone this bad, they got a spin-off.

Leigh: Definitely better as long as it stays at the level it's at. I was laughing when he started describing his tears, like he couldn't comprehend what was happening.

Will you be sad to see Jeremy go?

Paul: Not at all. Jeremy has worn out his welcome more than once. Let him go and fly free somewhere off screen.

Crissy: Yea, me neither. It's time for Little Gilbert.

Heather: Considering he probably should've stayed dead back in season four, not really. I like Little Gilbert, and his moments with Damon are gold, but he's treading water. Time to move on.

Leigh: I was catching my friend up on the season and she said "Wait isn't Jeremy dead?" So that probably answers that. May his abs find another show to star on.

Is Bonnie actually going to make it back?

Paul: Yes. She'll return before the season concludes, but it won't be easy going for her until she returns. Kai will most likely help her out in the end as it's clear the writers want him to stick around.

Crissy: Ya, my money's on her getting back relatively soon. I am ready for her to come back and make the most killer 1990s mixtape for her friends.

Heather: Of course she is. And I can't wait to see her and Kai come face to face again.

Leigh: Yes, and then they'll probably kill her again. Bonnie deserves a new show too like Little Gilbert.

Do you have any interest in Enzo's plan?

Paul: Not really. I'm really digging Sarah though. She seems really nice, but I won't get too attached as the show always kills off these recurring characters. I'd like to see her make her way to Mystic Falls.

Crissy: Zero interest in Enzo's plan. It sort doesn't make it any sense? Enzo was great opposite Damon and opposite Caroline, and we've had none of that this season. Bummer.

Heather: God, no. This storyline makes me want to tear my hair out, it's so pointless and frustrating. So far Enzo's greatness has been utterly squandered on the inanity of this Stefan and Sarah mission. It makes zero sense.  And it's boring. And it's robbed us of Enzo's charm, which may be the show's single biggest crime right now.

Leigh: I'm sorry, what was the question?

Are Stefan and Caroline growing on you?

Paul: I've shipped them since the beginning, so no need to grow. These two need to hook up ASAP. I'd love if Elena walked in on them.

Crissy: This was definitely the season 6 highlight episode for me when it comes to these two. But I've loved them together since that junkyard slumber party last season. All the hearts.

Heather: I..it's not that I don't care, just that it can go either way and I'd be alright with it.

Leigh: Actually a little bit yes. I think the writers are taking it slow and showing their friendship get back to a good place first. But I don't care too much either way, to be honest.
