TV Ratings Report: Fresh Off the Boat Makes a Splash

Forgive the obvious pun, but Fresh Off the Boat made a big splash on ABC last night.

The premiere of this ABC sitcom pulled in 7.9 million viewers and a 2n5 rating among 18-49-year olds. The second episode garnered 7.6 million/2.4, improving 17 and 26 percent on the latest new black-ish.

Elsewhere on ABC, Nashville returned from hiatus down 10 percent among young adults, while The Middle held steady and Modern Family ticked up.

ON THE CW, Arrow Season 3 Episode 12 (2.9 million/1.2) and The 100 Season 2 Episode 11 (1.6 million/0.6) saw slight increases.

ON FOX, American Idol saw a small gain while Empire added viewers for the fifth week in a row.

ON NBC, Mysteries of Laura (6.3 million/1.0) and Law & Order: SVU (6.2 million/1.3) held firm steady, while Chicago PD (7.5 million/1.6) increased a tenth to its best rating since the November 12 crossover conclusion.

ON CBS, The Mentalist (8.9 million/1.2) and Criminal Minds (10.3 million/2.0) each dropped a tenth, while Stalker (7.3 million/1.3) fell 12 percent and two tenths (to a series low).
