Billions Ordered to Series at Showtime; To Star Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti

Showtime has ordered Billions, "a complex and contemporary drama about power politics in the New York world of high finance" directly to series.

Not sold yet? Billions stars Damian Lewis (Homeland) and Paul Giamatti (John Adams) will star and Malin Akerman (Trophy Wife) and Maggie Siff (Sons of Anarchy) have been cast as their respective spouses.

The cast and pairings alone makes it worth a look!

Damian Lewis as Bobby "Axe" Axelrod

Billions will give an insider's view at the world of high finance by tracking the impending collision of two huge figures in that world, Giamatti's politically savvy US Attorney Chuck Rhodes and Lewis' brilliantly ambitious hedge-fund extraordinaire, Bobby "Axe" Axelrod.

Given Showtime's success in the drama genre with series such as Homeland, The Affair, Masters of Sex and Ray Donovan, there's little doubt Billions will be another well-written and performed series for the network.
