CSI Cyber Season 2: Peter MacNichol Out, Ted Danson In
Carissa Pavlica at .With the announcement that the CSI mothership is shutting down, spinoff CSI: Cyber will be going through some creative tweaking.
Earlier today we reported that CSI will be getting an all-star send off in the form of a two-hour movie, featuring the return of Marg Helgenberger and William Peterson.
Now we can confirm there are changes on the way for CSI: Cyber, as well.
Peter MacNichol will be leaving the role he originated on CSI: Cyber, FBI Assistant Deputy Director Simon Sifter. He will not be returning for the series' second season.
Ted Danson, however, will be joining the Cyber team as a series regular. His CSI character, DB Russell, already knows Patricia Arquette's Avery Ryan, as her team worked with him on a backdoor pilot when they were introduced on CSI.
Danson will be leading opposite Arquette beginning with CSI: Cyber Season 2. Is this welcome news, keeping a little bit of CSI alive? Hit the comments to chat about it.
