Charisma Carpenter has joined the cast of Scream Queens in the pivotal role of Ariana Grande's character's mother.
The role is only set up as a guest appearance at this time, but has the potential to recur. If you have paid attention to Carpenter's career, you know that's how she snagged her role as the twin's birth mother on The Lying Game!
In addition to The Lying Game, Carpenter is best known as Cordelia from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. She's definitely not a stranger to genre television!

Scream Queens comes to us from Ryan Murphy and takes place on a college campus that is suffering a plague of horrendous murders. A lot of the action goes down under the roof of the Kappa Kappa Tau Sorority. Sorority girls and horror go hand in hand, after all.
Starring with Roberts and Grande will be Abigail Breslin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele and Keke Palmer.
