Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 6 Review: No Stone Unturned

Can Lesli Stone be ruled out as a suspect already?!

To the surprise of no one, Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 6 threw some tidbits our way that pretty much cleared Lesli of being the big bad. There's no denying that in the grand scheme of things, she could be playing a part in all of this A drama, but she seems pretty harmless.

This happens all too often on the show. Someone ruffles enough feathers to be ruled A, and in the blink of an eye, they are cleared of it. Normally I get annoyed and promise myself that I'm giving up on the show, but this felt different.

We ruled Lesli out, but there was a lot of emotional progression for the gals, and it was needed.

Hanna continued to be the most hilarious person on the show. Pretty much every single scene she was in, she threw in a lot of witty comments. Her and Caleb's relationship is still suffering, but it didn't stop them from getting between the sheets after an argument. I expected Hanna to throw him out, not rip his clothes off.

Hanna's tactics in ruling Lesli out weren't that well thought out, and that's why I liked this installment. A lot of the time people forget that these are school girls. Some of their actions are going to be stupid, and then sometimes they're going to help propel the story forward. I liked that she stole Lesli's car, but I didn't like the fact that she and Spencer got their fingerprints all over it. Couldn't they have borrowed some gloves from A or something?

Hanna: Spencer say something. Why are we like radioactive?
Spencer: Bitch chipped us.

After assuming that Lesli and Bethany were friends, Mona dropped the bomb that they are enemies. I'm skeptical to believe anything that comes out of her mouth and the gals felt the same way, but she managed to talk them round in the end. She was right that Charles is alive, but for all we know, she could have been in cahoots with him all along.

It was a really cool twist to have the liars chipped by A. It made me forgive many of the plot holes from previous seasons. The scene with Spencer moving Hanna's head was freaking hilarious. I wish Emily was more assertive when she checked the back of Sara's neck. Doesn't she know that we're dying here for answers?!

I saw a completely different side to Sara this evening. She has been pretty annoying since she was introduced, but her character appeared in a much more vulnerable state tonight, and I can't help but feel like I've been wrong about her involvement in all of this. When the reveal comes, it's going to be someone shocking, which rules her out.

Emily has really taken the girl under her wing and wants to make her life as easy as possible. Their feelings for each other are getting stronger by the day, and I was glad that they finally gave in to their passion. Considering Emily's track record, this won't last long, but we might as well enjoy it while it lasts.

Emily: Sara, what are you doing? What happened?
Sara: I will pay for the bike.

Dean returned and had a crazy argument with Spencer after she stood him up. Although the guy acts pretty shady and a bit more interested in her than he should be, I couldn't help but feel bad for him. I hope we haven't saw the last of him. I don't want Spoby to call it quits, but it looks like Dean could be getting in between them sooner or later.

The episode came to a thrilling conclusion with Kenneth striking the last name off of a list as he searched for Charles. He then went to his grave and began digging it up. Charles sent him a letter letting him know that he's coming home for his birthday. Is it next week already?

Other tidbits:

  • I had a feeling that Nicole was into Emily, but it looks like Ezra may have found his next pretty lady, just as Aria looked like she was ready to go back to him. Is she too late?
  • How cutes is it that Ashley got Caleb a key cut? She's having dinners with him sans Hanna. This sounds wrong, but Ashley is like the only family he has.
  • That scene in the lab was creepy as hell. I thought for sure they were going to be chased out by the rats.
