Stop us if you've heard this before:

Community has been canceled.

In an interview with Metro Weekly, star Joel McHale confirmed that the sixth season of his beloved sitcom, which aired on Yahoo, served as the show’s swan song.

“All of our contracts were up after six years,” McHale explained. “All the actors on the show, almost without exception - their stock has risen significantly and it’s out of the pay rate that is affordable to make the show.

"So you’re not going to be able to get Alison Brie or Gillian Jacobs at a normal television salary anymore. There is just not enough money to be able to pay for the show.”

A rep for Sony claims, however, that Community's future is yet to be "determined."

But whatever. Six seasons and a movie, right?

Forget the normal television salary. It's on to the big screen for this amazing cast!
