What could be better for a TV Fanatic than a TV themed episode of Dancing with the Stars?!
That's right, Dancing With the Stars Season 21 Episode 4, was all about television, as the stars danced to popular TV themes from shows include Mad Men, True Blood, Breaking Bad, and even The Golden Girls.
This was a theme that made for lot of really fun dances (and costumes). Alexa and Mark's Jazz routine to the Breaking Bad theme was completely captivating and unique, earning them a well-deserved place at the top of the leaderboard.
And tying at the top, you guys, is our Backstreet Boy. Nick and Sharna are amazing to watch from week to week, and their tango was beautiful.
Tamar and Val are also doing consistently well, and that Mad Men themed tango may have been my favorite of the night. I'll be surprised if these two don't make it to the finals.
Gary and Anna might not be earning the best scores, but they're also a lot of fun to watch every week. Nothing beats Gary's attitude, either.
What was also fun was the addition of Alfonso Ribiero as a guest judge, despite how crowded that judges' table is with four people sitting at it again. Still, if anyone is going to come on as a guest judge, he's a good choice because he's been there (and won the trophy).
I'm glad the show took the time to address Kim's health concerns (a mini stroke that had her in the hospital for several days), even bringing her in through video call to see how she was doing. Sadly, because Kim's health issues prevented her from performing, Tom had to break the news that she would be forced to withdraw from the competition.
Regardless of having someone withdraw from the competition, we were rushed through yet another elimination ceremony in the final moments of the episode. The bottom two couples were announced (Andy and Allison, Paula and Louis), only to be quickly told that since Kim was out of the competition, they were both safe this week.
