We'll get the obvious out of the way up front: Thursday night football dominated all comers this week, with CBS leading the way in total viewers and also in the key advertising demographic of 18-49-year olds.
But what about Heroes Reborn? How did it much-anticipated premiere fare?
Not terribly, for the most part, as the drama garnered 6 million total viewers, along with a 1.9 rating in the aforementioned demographic. The latter is on part with the original series’ finale way back in 2010.
Leading out of the two-hour Heroes Reborn opener, The Player debuted to 4.9 million/1.2, falling short of Parenthood‘s year-ago demographic figure.
As for ABC? Did viewers give thanks it was Thursday once again?
- Grey's Anatomy Season 12 Episode 1 earned a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating, down from last fall's season premiere, which earned a 3.1 rating.
- Scandal Season 5 Episode 1 scored a 3.2 rating, also down from last fall's season premiere, by six-tenths of a ratings point.
- How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 Episode 1 also fell from its first premiere, even more than its ABC counterparts: last night's episode earned a 2.6 demographic rating while that premiere impressed with a 3.8 rating.
