The animals shall inherit the earth. Again.
CBS has renewed Zoo for a second season, and how can you blame them? To quote the seminal hair band, Poison, "Don't need nothin' but a good time, how can I resist?"
Those who watched and expected light and entertaining fare for the summer months got exactly what they desired. And it showed. Zoo was the strongest performer of CBS' three summer dramas and the most watched scripted series of summer 2015.
"Zoo‘s thrilling stories clicked with audiences each week during a very competitive summer," said Glenn Geller, President, CBS Entertainment.
Zoo delivered a healthy dose of scares, humor and relationships with which viewers could identify, all while taking to Twitter to share their excitement (or embarrassment) with the masses.
Under the Dome has been canceled, while the fate of CBS' third summer series, Extant, is still outstanding, despite the international appeal of Halle Berry. A new series from the creators of The Good Wife, BrainDead, will join the 2016 summer schedule.
