Chicago PD Cast Previews Crossover Challenges, Major Drama on Tap

"I think it's limitless as to what they can do," said Jon Seda when asked adding another Chicago series to the growing franchise of Dick Wolf-produced shows on NBC.

With Chicago Med Season 1 premiering on Wednesday night... and crossovers planned with it and Chicago Fire Season 4 (and don't forget the occasional visit from Law & Order SVU Season 17!)... not to mention early renewals handed down last week for Fire and PD... these programs definitely seem like they could run forever.

During last week's #NBCChicagoDay press event in the Windy City, TV Fanatic was stationed on the red carpet and grabbed some time with Seda, Jesse LEe Soffer and Brian Geraghty.

First, Seda teased that there is some drama coming Dawson's way on Chicago PD Season 3, previewing a "twist" coming with the storyline involving Olinsky's and his new daughter.

Will Dawson regret helping Olinsky out?

Next, Seda's co-stars Jesse Lee Soffer (Halstead) and Brian Geraghty (Roman) explained what's coming up for their characters because both of them have had major emotional drama they've been dealing with.

The actors agreed that this kind of drama is exciting for them and, in Geraghty's words, "it's a lot more fun."

Of course, Soffer also previewed how the new relationship between Halstead and Sophia Bush's Lindsay is going to be developing over the coming episodes.

Chicago PD Season 3 airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.

Chicago PD Quotes

But I wanted it. Wanted to be something different than what I was, knew I could. See, I don't people have to end up anywhere near where they started.

Yo, Al, don't you got some sort of beef with Father McSorley?
