Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 9 Review: Charade

at .  Updated at .

All I can say is, I am glad I had an early dinner before watching a pen full of pigs feasting on a dead college professor on Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 9.

To me the killer wasn't all that obvious. Sometimes I can just zero right in on them as soon as they open their mouth, but this one was a surprise. I thought he or she would be something other than a greedy student/business partner.

Although I suppose his "No way, I had nothing to do with that" comment should have been my first clue.

Throwing the body into the pig pen so they would eat the evidence was something you don't see every day, thank goodness. Then poor Jerry having to pig sit – while the pig that at the heart pooped it out – just made this whole scenario even more disgusting.

Although Jerry looked like he was enjoying his task, by reading to the pigs. Whatever does it for you, Jerry.

Danny: How does a solid citizen end up pig food?
Kono: I don't know, but I think I'm done eating bacon.

Eric has really grown on me. Sometimes it takes me awhile to warm up to new characters, but his raucous behavior was kind of fun to watch. Kono wanted to slap him more than once. He sure fit in with the party school crowd. It didn't seem like it was much of a stretch for him to play the part.

The changing of the clothes was funny. He got some new duds out of the deal.

You want to be real honest here? If she killed the professor I wouldn't care, I'd still marry her.

Eric

Is anyone else missing the car rides with Danny and Steve? I enjoy their bickering as long as it is all in good fun. Hopefully we can see that again soon. But tonight was not the night. We did however get some bickering, just not in the car.

Oh yeah, give it time Danny and I'm sure by tomorrow you will be making their lives as miserable as you make mine.

Steve

Danny handled the student that wanted to get in some extra credit time with him very well. Probably having a teenage daughter helped with that. I bet she is rarely shoved out the door that fast. Makes you wonder if her charms worked on Professor Thomas.

Then again, maybe I don't want to know.

I felt bad for Kaili. He was so young and innocent when that incident happened. You could tell there was a big reason he wanted nothing to do with his father. This obviously isn't over since they found the remains of his father's supposed murder victim.

So glad he has Steve to look after his best interests. He seems like a decent kid who drew the short straw for fathers.

Some final notes:

  • It looks like Adam will take the plea deal of 24 months and not try to go the self defense route. He must have his reasons.
  • Hank, our con man from Hawaii Five-0 Season 6 Episode 8, was found stabbed to death, presumably by Gabriel.
  • Danny minored in economics, so he was the perfect candidate for the undercover job.
  • It would be interesting to know what other little tidbits Steve has on everyone.
  • It looks like the flirting between Chin and Abby is continuing. They are cute together. But she is only here for two episodes, so one of them better make a move soon.

What did you think of tonights episode? Did you have the murderer figured out early on? Are the car arguments between Steve and Danny a yay or nay? Do you think Adam will take the plea deal?

It looks like they won't return for two weeks. But you can still see your favorite crime fighters and watch Hawaii Five-0 online until they are back on December 11.
