Kara's issues dating Gael make a lot more sense once we get a clearer look at her divorce with John. She's struggling raising the kids and keeping it all together. Her youngest son has a lot of issues, and she thinks she's transferred all of her worst traits to him.
Even so, John tries to support her even though she won't support herself.
Then, at work, Ms. Telemundo, Marisol, seems to be getting all up in her business. But one thing is for sure, there is no amount of Googling and cooking that will erase her problems.
Meanwhile, Mary Jane is still being blackmailed while also being read the riot act about the black race. It's incredibly uncomfortable. Even more when Cece has the audacity to tell Mary Jane she's sorry for her loss.
Before her death, Lisa sent a card or letter to Mary Jane. MJ's reaction? To sex herself out of her grief instead of reading it. We all know that's unlikely to work.
