Lily wasn't asking for much on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 6.
She just wanted to ex-boyfriend, who is a psychopath and who basically murdered Stefan's baby many years ago, to sit down for a nice meal with her sons.
She wanted peace between the Heretics and the Salvatores and she organized a dinner party at the mansion in orde to achieve it.
But it's safe to say that Stefan and Damon did not share this vision. They had a very different idea of a future between themselves and Lily's other family.
It centers around death.
