13 Fictional Places Where We'd Totally Love to Hang Out

Doesn't it sometimes seem like our favorite places to hang out aren't as cool those we see on TV?
Why is it that the local diner never quite lives up to Monk's or Luke's?
Is any bar quite as trashy as Paddy's Pub or as exciting as Emerald City after your shift at work?
Is the pie ever as good as it was at the Pie Hole or the Double R Diner?

1. Emerald City Bar from Grey's Anatomy
When good times are to be had, epic romances to be made and tequila shots to be done, the hot docs go to Joe's bar. Some have worked there, some have made it their best friend. It's a place for memories, and we'd like to made some of our own!
2. Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls
Coffee, burgers, absolutely no cell phones and service that depends upon how Luke is feeling on any given day. And we still want to go.
3. Monk's Cafe from Seinfeld
You know the guys from Seinfeld, right? Was there anything that didn't annoy the hell out of them? No. Except the food at Monk's. They knew the staff, met there almost every day and loved the food. We trust we would, too.
4. The Double R Diner from Twin Peaks
What was the deal, a slice of cherry pie and a damn fine cup o' coffee? The place looks cool as all get out, kind of like a blast to the past (even before the original Twin Peaks, guys), and the creepy vibe of the town? Well. It calls to us.
5. The Pie Hole on Pushing Daisies
Let's be honest, the pies wouldn't even have to be good to want to step inside of a restaurant that LOOKS like a giant pie. But these pies are even baked right in the restaurant, so you know they'd be the best. Yes please.
6. Paddy's Irish Pub from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
There's not much of a draw here other than the lack of crowds and the desire to see these crazy cats get into some equally crazy scheme. You never know what you might stumble into. It's like a grab box with beer.
7. The Mystic Grill from The Vampire Diaries
Speaking of grab boxes, this is another. While you can eat, drink and study at the Grill, you can also become the meal if a vampire is on some sort of a rage. You just never know what you're going to get when you visit. Charming!
8. MacLaren's Pub from How I Met Your Mother
A favorite of many, the gang hangs here because not only does it offer a full menu and bar, but it's on the bottom floor of their apartment building. What a great amenity! Did they ever cover whether discounts are available for residents? Because...moving in!
9. Granny's Diner on Once Upon a Time
Granny's Diner is another one that gets us based on decor alone. Have you ever tried pricing the tables and chairs inside a place like this? This is classic diner stuff and absolutely amazing. We're betting the food is good, too, Always makes us hungry to see it!
10. The Peach Pit from Beverly Hills, 90210
The Peach Pit! Before there was a Starbucks every 200 feet, the 90210 kids got their coffee in actual retro cups from Nate at the Pit! Disgustingly, when 90210 (the reboot) came back, it was remodeled to look...like a 90s restaurant? Um. No. We want to go to the real deal and eat fries with our coffee real cups, please.
11. Merlotte's from True Blood
This place is so out of the way that getting there seems like half the fun. Didn't you always want to go because it was so hidden? Plus, we also know there are a lot of beasts hiding in there. Sexy beasts. We're in!
12. Big Belly Burger from Arrow
Superheroes and their friends eat burgers and drink shakes. The real reason we want to eat here is because every time some takes a drink or big bite of a Big Belly Burger, it looks so damn good! Why wouldn't we want what they're having?
13. The Crashdown Cafe from Roswell
This is another run of the mill retro diner with an alien feel. Kitschy and cool, we're really interested in hanging here because it's where the alien kids actually chose to work and hang. Who doesn't want to meet an alien? We want to meet an alien. Or two.
