TV Ratings Report: Shades of Blue Drops Big In Week Two

at .

NBC got some bad news last night as Shades of Blue dropped quite a bit from last week's series premiere.

The Jennifer Lopez cop drama slid to 6.6 million viewers and a 1.3 rating among people 18-49. It was still enough to lead the hour, but the erosion will have to drop now if the show has any hope of coming back in the fall.

Earlier on NBC, the recently canceled Heroes Reborn remained a bust, with just 3.8 million viewers and a 1.0 rating. All of these reboots of shows seem to be doing well in their first episodes because of the curiosity factor, but not so well after that. It's time to give up on them.

After Heroes Reborn, The Blacklist hit 7.4 million viewers and a 1.5 rating. Down a little from last week, yet building double digits of Heroes Reborn.

And elsewhere around the dial:

  • On CBS, The Big Bang Theory (15.5 million/3.7 rating), Life In Pieces (9.3 million/2.0 rating), Mom (8.3 million/1.7 rating), Angel From Hell (7 million/1.3 rating) and Elementary (6 million/1.1 rating) all dipped from last week.
  • On Fox, two-hours of American Idol (8.6 million/2.2 rating) was also on the downside.
  • On ABC, Beyond The Tank (4.1 million/1.0 rating) and My Diet Is Better Than Yours (2 million/0.6 rating) both remained a bust.
  • And on The CW, The World Dog Awards (1.2 million/0.3 rating) kept the time period warm for DC's Legends of Tomorrow and The 100 next week.
