Supergirl Season 1 Episode 15 Review: Solitude

Divide and conquer? Yeah...not so much.

With Kara still anti-Hank and the DEO, we had two teams working separately to stop the latest threat on Supergirl Season 1 Episode 15

But, as we've all learned time and time again, Team Supergirl is stronger together.

Let's just get the most important part out of the way now. How cool was the Fortress of Solitude? I know the DEO has a boat load of resources, but you would think that knowing about this place sooner could have come in handy.

I think most of us felt that the situation with Hank and Kara did not make any sense. Hank lying for Alex instead of just telling the truth from the beginning was never a good idea, but it all makes sense now.

The entire thing was just a ploy by the writers to give James and Kara an opportunity to work on their own. They even had the DEO snatch Winn away so that we could get this exclusive partnership.

The point is proven even further by the fact that Kara immediately forgave Alex upon learning the truth. The conflict served its purpose, so now it is no longer necessary and they can all be one big happy family again.

Regardless, the plan to put Kara and James together worked like a charm.

James: Do you think Cat did the right thing by not releasing the cheaters list?
Kara: I think people's secrets are theirs to keep.
James: Even if they hurt other people?

James knew his relationship with Lucy was on the rocks, and he was grasping at anything he could to hold onto it. Maybe he really believed telling her Kara's secret would fix everything, but it probably would have only solidified what Lucy already knew.

James loves Kara, and she feels the same way. Everyone sees it except the two of them, but that's how it always works. Hopefully hearing Lucy say it out loud will make James admit the truth to himself.

At least Winn seems to be moving on from his feelings for Kara. I still don't know if I trust Siobhan, but still, good for him.

You realize that I'm learning an alien coding language in the same amount of time it takes to watch an episode of Doctor Who, right?

Winn

Winn is on his way to being officially recruited by the DEO. Hank made a comment to Alex how the DEO survived long before Supergirl, but I am seriously starting to wonder how.

I get that Winn is really good and all, but how does the DEO not have anyone else who can learn alien code? Shouldn't that be what their computer "experts" do every day?

Indigo is one badass villain though, and I for one can't wait to see her teamed up with Non. They're both completely ruthless, and we learned that Indigo is the most dangerous prisoner ever sentenced to Fort Rozz. This should lead to a pretty exciting conclusion to the season.

Maxwell Lord was oddly MIA throughout this whole encounter. You would think he would have had something to say about this super hacker alien unleashing a nuclear missile on National City. My guess is he'll be back to help the DEO against Non and Indigo.

We will have to wait two weeks for Supergirl Season 1 Episode 16, but it sounds like it will be worth the wait when Kara is exposed to Red Kryptonite.

What did you guys think of Indigo? Did the Fortress of Solitude live up to your expectations?

Don't forget, you can watch Supergirl online any time!

You, brown hair, put it in the microwave, set it to popcorn. Well, actually put it on baked potato. Uh, whichever, just melt it.

Cat

I could throw her into space. I dream about doing that.
