Jane really seems to be losing it.

On Rizzoli & Isles Season 6 Episode 17, she continually refused to leave Vince's side, lost her temper with a suspect and went off on a guard who was just doing her job.

Has everything that Jane's lost finally caught up with her?

Jane's difficulty dealing with the possibility of Vince retiring seemed to come to a head during "Bomb Voyage". Her life almost literally blew up when Vince stepped on a land mine.

Let me explain something to you. This is one of the finest detectives I've ever known and he is standing out there all alone waiting to see if he's gonna blow up. I'm going!

Jane refused to leave the minefield once she found out Vince was in trouble, even after the Bomb Squad guy told her she had to. She also refused to interrogate a witness without him and refused to leave his side a second time when he ordered her out of the room before confronting a suspect holding a detonator.

She had better still be seeing a therapist. This is becoming a real liability.

There are reasons Vince keeps telling her to leave, and most of them have to do with keeping her safe. Two dead cops are not better than one. Jane's refusal to understand this is concerning, to say the least, and her inability to function without Vince doesn't bode well for her future career.

Of course, Jane wouldn't have to worry about Vince's potential retirement, at least not yet, if Kiki hadn't come to her senses and decided to marry Vince after all. Kiki seemed spooked by Vince's near death experience, and his failure to tell her about it until confronted probably didn't help.

Vince and Jane's conversation while he was standing on the land mine was touching. Clearly Vince expected to live if he was asking Jane to be his "best man," but his tears over the danger he was in told another story.

Anyway, her unhealthy attachment to Vince was far from Jane's only issue during the hour. She also lost it with a suspect and then again with a guard.

Jane's been through a lot, but throwing tantrums every time someone doesn't get her what she wants while investigating her attack won't help anything. Also, why is she involved in this investigation? it wasn't that long ago that Vince told her she couldn't be, and it looks like he'd better stick to that policy.

I was disappointed that Frankie's potential girlfriend wasn't mentioned this week, though maybe that joke about the second toothbrush was foreshadowing. In any case, it was great to see him actually contributing in a major way to a case instead of being used for comic relief.

Angela's boyfriend had her pegged. She was even branching out and giving Kiki advice, and she barely knows her. This relationship seems really good for Angela so far and it'll be interesting to see how Paris changes or doesn't change her.
