It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Renewed for Seasons 13 & 14
Carissa Pavlica at .FXX isn't foolin' around today.
They just ordered a double season renewal of their highly rated and very funny comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which just ended it's 11th season.
Giving the series an additional two years for Season 13 and Season 14 puts it into a tie with the Ozzy and Harriet Show for the longest-running live-action comedy series.
If the series scores a 15th season down the road, it will break the tie – in the year 2020.
“If anyone doubts the power of a camcorder and a dream, just look at It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which was a DIY backyard pilot when Rob, Charlie and Glenn brought it to FX and will go down in TV history as one of the most loved and enduring comedies,” said co-President of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions Nick Grad on Friday.
“Few shows make it this far or have such devoted fans, and we owe it all to the creative vision and great humor of the creators and cast who keep Sunny fresh and inventive every season.”
