Scream Queens Season 2 Adds John Stamos as Series Regular

at .

John Stamos may not be a doctor, but he's going to play one on TV.

A hot doctor named Brock Holt.

Shortly after the cancelation of his Fox comedy, Grandfathered, he's been added to Scream Queens Season 2 as a series regular.

It's also not the first time Stamos has worked with Scream Queens boss, Ryan Murphy.

Stamos was a guest star on two previous Murphy series, including Glee and The New Normal.

So just who is this Dr. Brock Holt?

If you recall, Scream Queens is leaving the college campus of Season 1 and moving into a hospital location where a terrifyingly funny mystery will begin once again.

Some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under investigation at said hospital (of course).

Dr. Holt is the hospitals brilliant, but secretive, head surgeon.

Does that give anybody else a case of the willies? Imagining Stamos with his bright smile, arms in the air, medical instruments in tow, cackling maniacally?

It can't be just me, right?

As previously announced, Golden Globe Award nominee Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash are set to reprise their Scream Queen Season 1 characters.

Additional casting to be announced.

Stamos most recently appeared in the half-hour comedy Grandfathered, also on Fox, a role for which he won the People's Choice Award.

He's well known for Full House, and returned as a producer and to guest star for the Netflix production of Fuller House that debuted earlier this year.

Stamos was also awarded TV Lands Timeless Icon Award by his friend and mentor, Garry Marshall. I'll vouch for his timelessness, as I can still picture him as Blackie on General Hospital, and still want to scream out that name when I see him.

Over the years, Stamos has been on soap operas, comedies, dramas such as ER and Necessary Roughness, musicals such as Galavant and so much more.

Who else is excited to see what his combination of comedy and drama can bring to the Scream Queens team?

Will he be the next killer? A love interest for Jamie Lee Curtis? A lothario luring all of the females to places they shouldn't go?
