Gotham Sneak Peek: Gordon Takes A Trip

Jim Gordon may have met his biggest foe yet. Jervis Tetch is holding a huge grudge against Jim for the death of his sister, and things just seem to be getting worse and worse for the detective turned bounty hunter.

Jim had choices to make on Gotham Season 3 Episode 6 when Jervis made choose between Lee and Vale. But, even before that Jervis was messing with Jim's mind. 

Jim saved a little boy from certain death, but in the process watched a newlywed couple fall to their deaths. Jim probably didn't think Jervis would go through with his threats, but he did, and Jim being JIm blamed himself for the tragedy.

It only got worse when Jervis killed the two men at the power plant. This time Jim did nothing and people still died.

Jervis Tetch is the Mad Hatter indeed! And he's being played superbly by Benedict Samuel. Can you imagine anyone else playing this role? We think not!

Remember when Jervis first came to town on Gotham Season 3 Episode 3 and Barbara asked him if he could get people to do anything they wanted? 

Well, Barbara's wish may very well be coming true on Gotham Season 3 Episode 7.

It doesn't seem that Jim is going to be hypnotized. No, it's going to be far worse. The Mad Hatter got himself some sort of hallucinogen and blows it in Jim's face sending him on a trip of a lifetime! With Barbara as his guide!

It's not a trip Jim wants to be on. He has to face his past, present, and future. And it probably isn't any fun with Barbara along. At least that's probably what he wants to tell himself.

We tend to think that he and Barbara still have a thing. 

It's obvious Barbara still has feelings for Jim. She'll always have feelings for him. And, while Jim seems to have moved on, you can tell there's something hidden away for Barbara.

You can see it every time he's around her. He still loves her. Deep down she's still his soul mate.

He can find himself a thousand Lee's or Vale's or whoever might be next in line, but his heart will always belong to Barbara.

If that wasn't the case, then why is she the one his mind goes to first on his psychedelic trip?

The bigger question, though, is what will happen to Jim after this incredibly huge mind explosion? Will Jim finally crack? Will Jervis Tetch win?

What kind of dark road can we expect Jim to go on now? How is he ever going to survive this? 

Jim will find a way to get through this, but wouldn't it be interesting if he sought comfort in Barbara's arms? He may just do that considering she's the only one left...depending on what happened to Vale. Even if Vale is alive, though, it makes sense that Jim would seek comfort in the arms of a woman he once (and still does) love. 

Barbara to the rescue!!

In this Sneak Peek video Erin Richards (Barbara) and Benedict Samuel (Jervis Tetch/the Mad Hatter) give us some insight into what to expect on Gotham Season 3 Episode 7, "Red Queen". 

And it doesn't look good for Jim...at all!!
