Gabi kissed Chad as Abigail returned, Deimos tried to figure out if Chloe was carrying Nicole’s baby, and Kate and Adrienne bonded over cancer this week in Salem.
Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by Tony from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate Nicole and Deimos' future, Abigail’s next move, and Joey and Jade as parents on Days of Our Lives.
Do you want to see Nicole and Deimos in a long term relationship?
Tony: Not really. I don't think Deimos is good for Nicole.
Jack: No, no, a thousand times no. Deimos is as bad and abusive as anyone else Nicole has been paired with. I want to see Nicole be with someone who amplifies her light, not tears her down while she begs for forgiveness she doesn't need.
Christine: Ugh. I don’t know what to think. I just want Nicole to be happy. It feels like they’re trying to redeem Deimos but they made him such a bad guy in the beginning that It’s hard to get on board. Still, I’ll admit that he obviously cares for Nicole or he wouldn’t go to such extremes to find out if Chloe is carrying her baby. I’m trying to keep an open mind about these two.
Was Gabi not trusting JJ understandable giving what she heard?
Tony: The way J.J. phrased it was wrong. But, no, I don't think Gabi is right not to trust J.J.
Jack: No. The most reasonable thing to think was that Jennifer and JJ are planning a Christmas surprise for her that requires JJ to keep a secret from her. And she never once mentioned to JJ what she overheard, so her anger that he didn't respond the way she wanted to her non-question was totally ridiculous.
Christine: I get why Gabi reacted the way she did. Once someone cheats on you it’s hard to ever trust them completely again, and JJ was talking about keeping a secret about a woman. Yes, Gabi should have just asked him directly, but this wouldn’t be a soap opera if she did.
Will Abigail speak up and let Chad and Gabi know she’s alive or will she run out the door once again?
Tony: She'll run out the door, without a doubt. I don't think Chad will find out about her for another week or so.
Jack: She'll probably run away again. The writers seem to think that Abby changing her mind every time she gets close to Chad is entertaining, though I don't agree with them.
Christine: Oh please let them see her! All of this waffling is boring and only makes me think less of Abigail with each passing day.
Do you think Joey and Jade will pull it together enough to be parents to their child? Where do you see this storyline going?
Tony: I think Joey will, out of a sense of obligation. Not sure about Jade, though. In all honesty, though, who knows? Maybe having a baby will change her like it did Theresa.
Jack: I'm not sure where this is going but I don't like it. Joey and Jade should be working out a custody agreement, not deciding to stay together for the sake of their child. Jade is so manipulative I wasn't sure her abdominal pains were real, and that doesn't bode well for the baby.
Christine: It wouldn’t surprise me if Steve and Kayla ended up raising their grandchild. Anything to get Joey and Jade off of my screen!
What, if anything disappointed you this week in Salem?
Tony: Claire. She's become really snotty lately. Especially towards her alleged best friend, Ciara.
Jack: I guess I should stop expecting Gabi to be anything but selfish and controlling and then I'll stop being disappointed in the horrible way she treats JJ. But telling Chad she's breaking up with JJ and neglecting to tell JJ that before she starts kissing Chad is a new low. Also, Abby needs to just talk to Chad already. This story ceased to be interesting about two weeks ago and needs to move forward already.
Christine: Watching Abigail run all over town but only running into Dario is ludicrous. And as usual, all of the teens are just fingernails on a blackboard.
What was your favorite quote, scene or story line this week on Days of Our Lives?
Tony: André. Anything with André is usually my favorite. I especially loved his stuff with Abby this week. Marci and Thaao were great in scenes together!
Jack: I loved Eve and Jennifer's conversation. Jennifer had no clue that Eve has changed and was utterly bewildered.
Christine: Kate and Adrienne. To see these two former enemies having real conversations about cancer has made for some of the best scenes I’ve watched in a long time.
